For this AC round, and this round only, if your character(s) appear on this list and you are demonstrably still active in the game, you may contact a mod to be readmitted to the communities. In future AC rounds, you must comment to the AC post, be on an announced hiatus (that is, a comment to the Hiatus post), or otherwise have contacted the mods about your situation to remain in the game. NEW AC REQUIREMENTS

After considering your suggestions, we have decided on the new AC standards.

They're not much different from the old AC standards.

From now on, Singularity will be requiring two pieces of activity over a two-month period, where a "piece of activity" is the same as it was before:

• a

singularityrpg post with your comments
• 15 comments in someone else's

singularityrpg post, either network replies or an action log
• 5 comments in a

singularitylogs post

As before, you can provide multiple threads that add up to 15 comments to count for the

singularityrpg requirement, but if you're going to submit a

singularitylogs post, all 5 comments need to be in the same thread. You can provide any combination of requirements, including a single

singularityrpg thread with 30 of your comments, or a

singularitylogs thread with 10, and it's fine if both pieces of activity are from the same month.

tl;dr AC is 2x what it used to be

The next Activity Check will be June 1-7, and activity from April 10-June 7 will count.

Bookkeeping note from Carolyn: I noticed a few discrepancies between the Taken list and the characters who are accounted for on AC or accepted in April, so if everyone could check and make sure their characters are listed there, I'd appreciate it. If they're not, just fill out the form and they'll be added. Thanks!

First, this is a reminder that Activity Check begins in two weeks on April 1st, so now is the time to start rounding up posts, or make them if you're falling short. AC is one network or log post with comments, or 15 comments in another person's post. For this round all activity since moving to DW counts, so we don't anticipate any reasonably active players having trouble with it. Characters accepted in March are exempt.

Currently, we have a lenient activity check, and we loosened it even more for the move, in anticipation of complications which, happily, didn't occur. Our AC schedule worked just fine when we were a smaller, slower game, but that's no longer the case. Space Prom went to 3,000 comments in a week, and we are facing the fact that our little game is all grown up and ready to borrow the keys and wreck the car.

We have no intention of instituting an unreasonable AC, but we do need to make it more stringent to keep inactive players from affecting their casts and other CR, and there is plenty of room to tighten things up without AC becoming unmanageable. We are currently leaning toward keeping AC bimonthly, but increasing the total number of posts/comments required, probably with a mix-'n'-match system that will accommodate various play styles. However, we'd like your input before making any changes, hence this post. What would you like to see out of a new AC policy? What would you not like to see? We know people would like to have a purge list posted at the end of the AC period. Anything else?

Any changes will not affect this AC round.

Hello Singlings!

This is just Lainie with a brief announcement about the current activity check. Because of livejournal's recent disruption, it's been decided to extend the current AC to August 7th.

In that time don't forget to fill it out!

And yes, this does mean any activity during August 1st-7th counts towards this check. For neatness and schedule sake, the next AC is still going to remain on the same schedule, meaning that valid activity starts from August 1st. The only stipulation is that any activity that a player uses for this check that falls during the 1st-7th cannot be used for the next AC.

tl;dr you cannot reuse the same bit of activity twice!
