This page is for suggesting plot ideas (either player-driven events or general suggestions) for perusal by the mods. We encourage players to come up with and run their own events, and would be happy to help refine an idea to best suit the game setting and the other players. Don't want to run your own event? This is also the place to suggest general ideas, such as "I think we should have some kind of weather event where it storms for days and knocks out power and people have to work together" etc. For small events that only affect a handful of players, please consider requesting a mission. You want to hunt for ghosts in the empty hospitals? You want to space walk outside the station and fight zombies with a line gun? Tell us there! As for large scale player-driven events...

large-scale action requests

Large-scale actions are player-driven game plots which will affect more than those directly involved in the planning. This can be anything from a bomb going off to a game show. In general, though, we only need to see a request form if an action will harm or threaten the population, including NPCs. Mod approval is needed for these actions so that the mod team can work with players to ensure balance and plausibility with game canon and metaplot. As with everything in Singularity, players can pretty much do what they want, we'd just ask for moderation. Some examples of large scale actions: "I have a neurotoxin which causes temporary amnesia and disorientation I want to release into Kurzweil's vents." "I have already found the Underworld and want to kidnap one of the insurgents to interrogate her." "I want to kidnap Agent Texas and hold her hostage for ransom on the network." "I want to hack into Sacrosanct's confidential records to see if I can find something."

The general rule with large-scale actions, and any other big deal requests, is to provide enough lead time in case the mods need to discuss any of the details with you. We are not in a mindset to outright reject anything; rather, if something doesn't quite work for us, we'd prefer to talk it out, to see if there's not another solution. The mods may also ask you to postpone your plot to avoid scheduling conflicts with other player plots, and event burn-out for the game at large. If your plot is going to require special items, such as finding a fully functional EMP in the Junkyard, please note that in the description here instead of going to the Requests page. We will approve items on this page if they are related to a plot.

Heeey, so it's kind of been six months since I originally requested this, and I'm starting to get the impression it's not going to happen!

(Quick on the uptake, I know.)

So if you guys are still not on board with the twin/clone aspect, I suppose it'd be simplest for everybody if I just withdrew this request! The jekyll/hyde-esque version of the plot really wouldn't work for some of the things I'd hoped to do, so it'd be better to just axe the idea instead of running a plot I'm not all that happy with.

Dark Energon

For some months now, Primewave has been working on what is known as a "Space bridge" in Transformers fandom. They are time-space transports like the teleporters that are meant to span over great distances, originally designed and created by Decepticons. In Prime continuity, it's been shown that if someone malfunctions in a Ground bridge (and Space bridge, by default), it can punch into other realities. Primewave was looking to harness his ability to control gateways to other dimensions (including his own).

The idea was to have him succeed, somewhat, but pinpoints the wrong time and location. As such, instead he opens a gateway to his version of Cybertron shortly after it had been infected with Dark Energon. Instead of quickly trying to resolve this mistake he just... decides to go with it, seize the power of Dark Energon and this new zombie army, and conquer this dimension for Megatron and Cybertronian superiority. Not the swellest guy here.

The result: station has a bit of a robot zombie infestation.

What Dark Energon does: The undead Cybertronians' bodies are fueld by Dark Energon. A drop of this energon can animate another corpse or in some cases, cause non-living mechanical devices to come to live with simple-minded and violent dispositions. Dark Energon has also been shown to be highly poisonous to humans (and reasonably other organics as well), although a human can recover with application of energon. Dark Energon has also shown to be somewhat of a drug to the Cybertronians who willfully use it, causing increased stamina, power, etc. at the cost of becoming much more... unhinged (and glowy purple!) because of the power of Unicron.

End result: I imagine the space bridge and any zombies would eventually be destroyed and Soundwave and any allies will get what's coming to them.

When do you expect this action to be carried out? Tentatively May? Latest would be early June.
Is this illegal and/or sure to have negative consequences? Yes
If so, do you have a plan for what's going to happen to your character? Punishment by Hypatia for the knowing troublemakers
Does this involve characters other than your own? Yes. It also includes Soundwave (CnC), Knock Out, Breakdown, Shockwave, and Deadlock. It is also the kind of plot that will pretty much affect all participating characters.
If so, have you gotten the other players' permission? WELP. I have permission from those helping to build it. The plot can be contained to certain zones. unsure on what zone, currently. The Space bridge is being built underground.

Alright, holla holla. Let’s do this. This little explanatory interlude will be split up into two major parts: 1) logistics, and 2) rationale. Without further bullshit, let’s start with logistics.

So, for those of you who don’t know, Mafia is a game that involves the mafia. Well, not the real mafia, but you get the picture. The game set up has a few individuals randomly chosen in a group to act as the mafia, while the rest of the group acts as civilians. The goal of the mafia is not to extort large sums of money. It’s to kill all those innocent motherfuckers who aren’t in the mafia. Obviously, in return, the goal of the civilians is to citizen’s arrest/kill the shit out of the mafia. Unfortunately for them, depending on how clever the individual mafia members are, they don’t know precisely who mafia is—which, as you can guess, leads to a lot of paranoia and tension.

Now, because Singularity is such a large game, and sessions of mafia need a small, personalized group, having a massive community wide game of mafia wouldn’t work. Muns who decide to participate in this event will need to submit a list of characters they would like to volunteer, and then groups of 10-15 (depending on how popular the plot is) would need to be chosen. No one will be left out if they volunteer; there will just be different sessions of mafia running at the same time. Those sessions will need to be isolated somewhere before the game begins. A manga called Rabbit Doubt used an abandoned warehouse to stage their version of mafia; however, I think cutting off transporters and limiting a small section of a sector for the game would suffice.

Awesome, moving on to the second part of this explanation: rationale. This basically asks and answers how/why this plot would be feasible in game. Yet again, because I’m a debater, and I love numbering the fuck out of things (I literally hold up fingers when I organize these things in my mind), this will also be broken into two major questions that must be answered: 1) How would this set up occur?, and 2) what would motivate the killers?

1) Set up. I’ve got one main idea on the matter, but they’re pretty loose so you can budge them as you see fit. The first is that Hypatia just likes fucking with everyone. She decides it’s an educational endeavor to see who would be more likely to survive/if certain universes churn out more survivors/how do humans act in dangerousass emotional situations/the Hunger Games was an awesome book and she wants to see the second movie NOW. Personally, I think it would be likely, especially considering that psychotic tendency she tends to have—like spacing any assholes who didn’t go to prom. Furthermore, since the majority of participants in these games will die, they won’t remember shit, so they’ll be less likely to accuse her. She can be as blatant about it or as subtle (oh looks like everyone just got redirected to a RANDOM FUCKING WAREHOUSE those silly teleporters!). However, if you don’t want her involved, I’m pretty sure I can come up with some other suggestions.

2) Motivation. If we continue with the Hypatia idea, she could simply offer credits or other goodies to those who survive, encouraging mafia to establish themselves and kill the shit out of people for the sheer douchiness of it. Alternatively, and what I think is more interesting, is having some vital, psychological part of the individual mafia members tweeked. This is how most games, who pull out plots like this, run it. So, while a person who is OOCly chosen to be mafia isn’t the mass murdering sort, if they are convinced that murdering the others is for the greater good/upholds their ideals/whatever key motivation they might have for other actions psychologically, they’ll do it. Yet again, I don’t know if you want Hypatia involved or if she can even do that tweeking, or if a teleporter malfunction could do something—yeah.

We’ll probably need to discuss this shit a lot, especially the rationale, since that seems to be the weakest part of my explanations so far. On AIM I’m Pb2Ag, and on plurk I’m superfluously. I’ve got weird hours due to being in Germany, but I’m sure we can manage it.

When do you expect this action to be carried out? honestly, whenever you guys are ready for it. Probably not this month though, since I am starting german classes and will be freaking out every day until the end of time itself.

Is this illegal and/or sure to have negative consequences? it is pretty fucking illegal

If so, do you have a plan for what's going to happen to your character? but it is not something my character is directly doing so whatever happens happens

If so, have you gotten the other players' permission? not yet, but I assume a general plotting post will happen where muns who are interested will submit the names of their characters. That list will be used in randomly determining the killers and the groups.

Additional note: I understand that a lot of this plot is merely framework, but in order to flesh it out, there's a need for discussion between me and you guys. I also understand that this need for discussion will severely delay the event. That is cool.

Alternative ideas concerning rationale *Set up and motivation*.

Alright, so if you guys aren’t game for the Hypatia being a massive bitch, Star is a fucking genius, and helped brainstorm some other causes. So, let’s try this shit again:

1) Set up: Anyone who watches anything at all knows that many series love to make use of a “paranoia gas” or some other sort of chemical that heightens a normal individuals paranoia levels and/or massively influences their emotions, typically towards the darker side of things. BBC Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of Baskervilles uses this, same with all the Higurashi games and anime. Places that have come in contact with these chemicals could be quarantined, same with people. Which sets up a less Hypatia being a massive fan of Battle Royale, and more along her typical lines of “I am doin’ this shit to help you ungrateful motherfuckers JEEEZ. GET OFF MY HOLOGRAPHIC TITS ALREADY.” Of course, many of the people she quarantines will be completely uninfected by the paranoia gas/chemical (innocent civilians), and when trapped with those infected (mafia), it’s not a happy story.

2) Motivation: The above scenario allows for the individual characters themselves, in whatever warped mindset they might have, to come up with their own motivation for massacring their comrades. This would clear up the confusion in the above scenario on how to get people who aren’t kill-happy to kill.

If you guys would prefer another explanation for rationale that you’d prefer, just ask. I am willing to brainstorm, adapt, change, whatever all night long.

As such, that is exactly his plan by utilizing the radio towers he created on Sacrosanct so very long ago. The main plan is to brainwash people into peace-loving hippies and to have them surrender their weapons/firearms to one location.
When do you expect this action to be carried out? Wherever you can fit me in! That's what she said.
Is this illegal and/or sure to have negative consequences? Probably! I imagine some people would probably be ticked if they found out they were brainwashed to do anything, and it's hard to say how Hypatia would feel about it.

Explain in more detail how this will work: The plan is that the Scarecrow's fear gas from the DC Comics universe will show up in a nice big ol' barrel of fun in the junkyard. The Joker, being a complete tool that he is, will decide that this station needs some more crazy! As such, he will take the barrel of fear gas and dump the contents into the air vents to spread across the station.

The fear gas will cause hallucinations in pretty much any organic creature. Specifically, it targets insecurities, phobias, discomfort, and disorientation into a believable state for a character, no matter who they are. The best example I have would be the Scarecrow scenarios as seen in Arkham Asylum, which is a delightful mix of Batman's fears with some Silent Hill shuffling on in. We're looking for total psychological breakdowns here, folks!

The fear gas will probably end in about a week or so, due to either Hypatia flushing the station no doubt, or if someone can whip up a cure somehow (which would be preferred, would love to have more player involvement).
When do you expect this action to be carried out? Wherever you can fit it in, would rather have it happen prior to Soundwave's brainwashing event.
Is this illegal and/or sure to have negative consequences? No doubt!
If so, do you have a plan for what's going to happen to your character? I'm pretty sure Hiku is prepared for any reactions that could take place.

Okay, since this shit's too big for plurk, I'll type of locations here. It totally depends on how many players we get, and whether or not we go for smaller groups (5-10, as opposed to 10-15), and a lot of things, really. But I came up with quite a few locations just so we have backups if needed.

For the event, everything will be without power since, hey, quarantine. All locations, however, have food areas (like a hospital has a cafeteria, aquarium and theme parks and shopping centers usually have places people can buy food). They won't be actively producing food, but there will be food there, since this event will last about a week.

1) R01 - Hospital. Basic hospital. Yeah.

2) R10 - Rare Octopus Aquarium OR a regular Aquarium from R03. I just want rare octopuses, because those things are poisonous sometimes, and I want to see someone get killed with an octopus. The mechanisms for keeping the animals alive will be cut off with the power, so through the course of the week, the characters are going to see some fucked up shit. The Aquarium will have the typical kid play areas, water tunnels, hidey holes, massive things of water, etc etc.

3) R04 - Theme park. Typical shit like bumper cars, those tunnely rides, water rides, houses of mirrors, etc etc. No power though, so no, you can't spend the week going on roller coasters.

4) R13 - Shopping center. Let's get some shoes. A bigass shopping center with all your capitalistic needs.

5) R16 - Warehouse. Bigass warehouse. With power tools (but no power), big ass machinery, and lots and lots of boxes of shit.

I can come up with more if you need it. When characters sign up, they'll be assigned randomly to one of these locations.

Explain in more detail how this will work: One thing about Gotham's clowns... they don't really ever require a reason for doing things like this. Harley doesn't like it when things are quiet for too long, and she also doesn't like it when the Bats ignore her Puddin'. It's a constant game of 'look at me, mommy' with them, really. So, she's going to plant a bomb in the hostel, because blowing up innocents is usually a good way of catching Batman's attention! 8D

It just so happens that she'll also be blowing up at least one Avenger and a few mutants amongst a handful of other innocents, but NO BIG, RIGHT???? 8D

Now, no one is going to die in this event, per Jolta's request, but people (and the hostel) will be getting beat the hell up. Player's will be picking their own extent of injuries per their own preferences.

When do you expect this action to be carried out? In June after the Mafia event would be splendorific!

Is this illegal and/or sure to have negative consequences? Oh, so illegal!

If so, do you have a plan for what's going to happen to your character? Harley will be on the run with Terry (and possibly Dick) keeping others from killing the hell outta her. End game hasn't really been figured, but she'll prolly end up locked up for a time, either by Hypatia or the Bat fambly.

If so, have you gotten the other players' permission? Everyone that has to be involved has given their consent and willingness and it will be done in such a way that if someone doesn't want their character blown up, they don't have to have them blown up.

She'll just need to find someone to help her bring it all there and set up *stares at Deadpool* And she'll be baking like mad crazy. Not sure how much it will all costs though.
When do you expect this action to be carried out? As soon as convenient with other plots. A pre-date would be nice to know since she's gonna advertise first.

If so, do you have a plan for what's going to happen to your character? WELL THE PUNCH MIGHT GET SPIKED LOL

If so, have you gotten the other players' permission? Finn and Deadpool have already volunteered to help, and many characters have shown interest in coming! If people don't wanna come well it's only in a part of one zone. It's easily avoidable.
