Please note that while receiving positive feedback is also nice, it's much nicer to know exactly why someone might think they're doing a good job. Try to be specific as possible, although there's no rule saying you have to.

Aside from the usual comments on activity, all stuff is appreciated! 8|b I know I've been doing some questionable stuff with Dave lately, and I plan to canon review for Flonne as soon as I get back to my PS3 sob, so... yeah!

A few things I've been contemplating about Dave for a bit. I understood the need for a canon update, especially after he had been in one place for so long. Canon updates can be very helpful, but I feel like you didn't do much with it; I don't know exactly where he canon updated from, but certainly there was enough canon in between his previous point and god tier that it should have made a little more of a difference. Dave moved from a moment of doubt to a moment of personal triumph in canon. He finally did something heroic in his life (something not overshadowed by another person), and ascended to god tier immediately after. What I don't understand is how his change in character is being represented in your Dave interpretation. Even with the modifications made in Singularity (the mutations, having to kill his friends, etc) I think that Dave would be attempting to retain a lot more of what he more recently experienced in canon. I may be wrong, but immediately after he got back, he seemed to slip back into the familiar "been there, done that" personality of pre-canon update. I think it's mostly the jaded tendency that throws me off, especially since Dave has never been particularly good at acting jaded in canon (see: his multiple deaths).

Another thing is that I think you tend to prioritize tags. Not in a necessarily bad way, but in a way that's noticeable if you aren't, say, one of the Homestuck cast. Also getting CR with you sometimes seems challenging, because in particularly engaging threads you drop off of the face of the planet. These two things tend to go side by side -- overall I think you play quite a lovely Dave (one of my favorites), but sometimes you come off as slightly unapproachable if you don't already have either a predetermined relationship with Dave, or extensive CR that seems to be built up through sheer determination.

The "too jaded" thing is... actually something I've been worried about myself, lately. For a while after the canon update, I think I was doing slightly better about it, and I'll be the first to admit lately I've been playing him as in a slump of sorts. (honestly, i wonder if my activity has something to do with it too? when you miss everything, it's easy to just kind of lapse into a "why bother" state. hmm.)

And... yeah. I wish I could say otherwise to the tags/CR issues, but that's something I've done badly (especially lately). The dropping off the face of the planet should reduce somewhat now that graduation's over and once I'm back from Idaho (where I'm trying to focus a bit on getting Flonne up and running again), but given my previous track record it's probably never going to be perfect.

I am really sorry about coming across as unapproachable because of it! Usually, I try to tag based on when a post comes in, but other times I get bad about it and bluh bluh bluh excuses. Um... I know this may sound dumb, but (to everyone reading this even!) if I'm lagging behind on a thread, remind me about it? I can't promise it'll always give an immediate response, but it'll reprioritize it in my mind (instead of me kiiiind of assuming nobody wants a backtag from me because the magic moment's worn off, something I'm also actively working on) for more immediate results.

tl,dr; I am sorry about tags/CR issues, and hope those will start working themselves out now that I'm focusing on them. Meanwhile, I'm going to take the jaded crit as confirmation of something I've been worried about and try to figure out how to best implement that. :|b
