HOW'S MY DRIVING
Welcome to Singularity's community How's My Driving!
What is the HMD? The HMD is an optional meme in which players can receive concrit and feedback on how they handle their characters. Please remember to be constructive in your feedback; flaming will not be tolerated on this meme.
Please note that while receiving positive feedback is also nice, it's much nicer to know exactly why someone might think they're doing a good job. Try to be specific as possible, although there's no rule saying you have to.
Anon commenting is on for this HMD, although if this is a privilege and not a right, and may be taken away if abused. If you wish to participate, just comment with your character name, journal, canon, and if applicable, any notes about your character you want to add. If you'd like, you can also link to your own personal HMDs, but it's not required.

As of Act 6 and becoming a fully realized Seer of Light, Rose is in a much different position in relation to the horrorterrors, you're totally right about that. I personally don't think she's totally over them, as this page suggests something a little different, specifically with the quote "ROSE: It takes precision and timing to reach your destination out here, and most importantly, the grace of the gods themselves." That could be interpreted an array of different ways, for example, as the dark gods simply acting out of self-interest: if the kids don't reach their destination, Lord English keeps killing them all unabated. I'm choosing to interpret it as both that and Rose still being on kind speaking terms with the dark gods, if little besides that. But for the most part, she wouldn't get involved with them unless she really really needed to, instead choosing to create a path forward herself.
On Sacrosanct, it's not that simple. Her Vision Omnifold is drastically curtailed - she can't see the convoluted path to a fortuitous outcome anymore, she can barely see a few minutes in front of her, and the ability only applies to her, not her friends. She's been trying her damnedest to keep this much a secret. But, especially after being able to see the path to victory for a brief while back in the Furthest Ring, being in a place where she can see fuck all and do fuck all about her situation back in her own universe or the situation here on Sacrosanct, it frustrates her a lot, and it's leading to her regressing back towards her "fuck it, why don't I just break everything until I find out something worthwhile." mentality from Act 5. Exacerbating this slightly is that she's using her Thorns as her primary weapon. I actually didn't totally intend for her to be using the Thorns when she came back as a God Tier, I intended for her to use the Quills of Echidna, but that didn't pan out the way I was hoping for it to, so I went with the Thorns, and it's just kinda developed that way, though I'm still reasonably certain she'll be using the Quills eventually in canon and if and when she does, I will probably adjust accordingly.
Basically, right now, I'm trying to play her as a combination of Act 6 and that precipice in Act 5 right before she has that conversation with Scratch and goes over the edge. I am trying to strike a balance between them, though, and if it seems like I'm skewing a little bit hard towards the latter, I'll definitely do what I can to try and even it out some. Also, I would like to play her so as to make it clear that these are the reasons she's acting like this, and I hope I can do that in the future to advance her development forward.
Thank you for the observation - I hope this response made some level of sense.
