singularitymods.livejournal.comThe mist monster event is now closed ICly. Volunteers from this post who have not yet tagged in at the log are encouraged to do so!
The player characters' operation was a complete success! Here's how it broke down:
-Delta (Anarin) and Hanna (Mote) commandeered a giant robot from the Junkyard so Hanna would be able to draw a rune big enough to seal it.
-Tex and Omega (Brig) and Havemercy (Chii) flanked the mist monster to lure it toward the designated area in Gibson, where Hanna was able to cast the rune.
-The monster, now completely corporeal, was open to attack. The target is the center heart-brain, targetable through the mouth.
-Hanna fainted after casting the spell, leaving Delta in control of the mecha.
-Delta, Tex, Omega, Havemercy, York (Chii) Garrus (Stefan), BLU Pyro (Case), and RED Pyro (Odd) (and I think Mouse's Red??) went on a mighty campaign of asskicking, the details of which we'll let you sort out for yourselves. 8)
One way or another, the monster has been killed and now lies dormant in the city of Gibson. Clean-up will continue over the next two weeks. Gibson will be inaccessible during that time either on foot or by teleport.
Now for bonuses!
As a surprise reward for everyone's proactive involvement in this event, all characters listed above will receive 4 credits to their accounts. Remember that work credits are the accepted currency and status chits used for living in Sacrosanct. Characters may use, trade, sell or ignore them as they wish. You can read more about the worth of credits on the Job Board.
We'll have more opportunities for earning credits and other rewards in future events. Stay tuned, though. The dust may be settling in the city of Gibson, but that doesn't mean it's all over on the network.
