APPLICATION TWEAKING

After some deliberation, the moderator and application teams have decided on another minor alteration to the application process- specifically, the manner in which requests for revisions are handled and what is deemed application page appropriate material. While we understand that the continuous changes made in the last couple months can be exhausting for the player base, please remember that Singularity is a relatively new game, and its mechanics are still in a “Beta stage” and therefore subject to change as the game evolves. Each change is meant to make the system more user-friendly, so please bear with us.

REVISIONS TIME LIMIT

To expedite the process of revision requests for both player and app team, all applications that receive a revision notice will have three days as of the notice to hand in revisions.

This is, of course, a flexible rule. We understand that IRL gets in the way and people do get busy. If you feel as though you won’t have enough time, we ask that within those three days you contact a member of the moderator or application teams saying that you will be unavailable in those three days and, if possible, give an estimate of when you will be submitting your revisions.

Failure to reply with revisions within the time limit without a prior given heads up to mod/app team will result in your app being overlooked entirely until the next application round.

APPLICATION PAGE-APPROPRIATE COMMENTS

Lately we’ve been experiencing a lot of unnecessary clutter on the application page. Namely, comments made in threads by people that are neither mods nor the applicant. To be blunt-- this is not okay, you guys. Each application thread is meant specifically for discussion between the applicant and the mod/app team. Most of us have this page tracked and superfluous replies clog up our inbox and can lead to some very frustrated team members deleting things they sometimes shouldn’t because of the confusion of what’s an actual comment and what is useless filler.

Please, do not comment in the application threads of others. This is spam, no two ways about it. Further unnecessary comments will be deleted and the commenter warned. Feel free to spam a character’s OOC introduction post instead, this is where we would like to see all new players welcomed to the game.
