Oh the world outside is frightful, but the constant AC inside is so delightful
I hope everyone's having a good August! Mote here again, with a few updates.
1. Welcome to our new players! Don't mind the pace of any of this, please feel welcome to jump in any time, anywhere.
2. Mist Monster event is ending SOON. details here for those that want to participate:
Delta and Hanna are planning to find a giant robot in the Junkyard and some kind of writing instrument (ahem, a palmtree and a pool-sized bucket of ink) to cast a rune of sealing on the monster. This will make the monster completely physical and unable to phase-shift.
As Hypatia has noted to a few residents, the monster has a weak spot. It's a combination heart-brain, located in the thickest part of its rib cage, but it's vulnerable when the monster spreads its tentacles to open its mouth.
Several characters (York and Tex?) have already volunteered to help flank the monster and kill it.If anyone else would like their character to participate, now is the time!
To begin, Delta and Hanna need the monster lured into a narrow city area opening into a plaza, so they have space for Hanna to seal it while preventing an escape. I'm assuming Delta picked a city BESIDES Kurzweil or Katayama since those are the only two with PCs in them at the moment (to my knowledge). XD
Details about luring, attacking, etc, are up to the players.
In the interest of time and sanity, the default state for the end-event stuff is going to be handwaved. If you do want to log something, though, you're more than welcome to! Just let people know! Feel free to use this post for any plotting or discussion you'd like to do.
We're going to keep the end-event for about a week, till the 25th to allow everyone time to participate if they want. If we need to run over we'll just adjust things from there.
3. The first activity check is September 15th. What will it consist of? Well... that's a surprise. 8)
4. And... keep your eye out for a new face in the next few days. Rest assured he's been keeping a very careful eye on all of you.
