After much discussion between the Singularity mods and their application team, it’s been decided that as the game grows, so must our application process. As of this post, there will be some changes to the application process. This includes when applications will be handled, how players will be asked to respond to revision requests and a shiny new Reserve system.

PLEASE NOTE! If you have already submitted an application before this post and it has not been responded to (this includes a response to revisions from the mods) this will not affect you unless stated otherwise. All currently posted applications are being looked at.
 

 

Asking About Applications
 

Mods will not comment on the status of applications to players who are not the applicant. Applicants who have not heard back on their app within five days of submission may respectfully approach a member of the application team to request the status of their app. Mod and team member contact information is posted on the Singularity Wiki and the Contact and FAQ section of the main community. If we are online, we are at your service. Please contact an application team member first before consulting a mod in regards to the status of your app.
 

Revisions Must Be Clearly Marked

When asked to submit revisions, it’s important that the application team be able to discern what is the application and what are the revisions. When editing your application to include the requested revisions, we asked that you either post them separately in another comment or mark them clearly either with another font face or color. We also ask that you keep as much of the original application intact.

 

Closing Period and Reservations

The game is getting bigger, and that means applications are coming in with higher frequency. To ensure that our app team can process all of the applications equally and in a timely manner, there will a slightly altered system put in place for time management purposes.

• For a period of fifteen days, the application page will be considered open. This means in that time prospective applicants are welcome to submit an application, but will not be able to put in a reserve request. When the applications and reserves are open/closed and for how long will be posted clearly to the appropriate page.
• Reserve requests will take place on their own page and be active during the fifteen days when the application page is closed. When apps and reserves are closed and how long they will be closed will also be posted on it’s respective page. Players and non-players wishing to put in a request for a character may do so there. A team member will reply to each request individually and update the reserve page listing.
• NOTE: The Reserve page will include this information for your convenience- Two reserves per player, per reserve period. No exceptions.
• RESERVES ARE ONLY ACTIVE DURING THE APPLICATION BREAK PERIOD. The reserve page will be purged three days into the application open period.

Thank you for all your hard work, mods and app team. I get overwhelmed just thinking about all the apps that have been flooding in, so I can't imagine how you guys feel. We (cause yes, I'm assuming I speak for everyone!) really appreciate all the time and effort you guys put into the game so the rest of us can have fun goofing off here. <3
