E V E N T ; “From Beyond It Consumes”
Hello and welcome to our first event!
From the 15th until 28th, you will have the chance to pit your characters against the first real baddie-- a man-eating phase monster from another dimension.
This event was conceived as a sort of tutorial mode for those of you in the community. Of course, the lot of you being the memetic badasses you are, we scaled up the difficulty slightly. Through this event, you will become familiar with the station, its rules, and some of its more colourful denizens. The station AI, Hypatia, will be more accessible than she has been until now. Hints will also be provided at several points, but don’t rely on these to bail you out. Your characters should be thinking for themselves for how to defeat it.
The Monster:
There's no note of what dimension spawned this hellish construct, but one thing becomes rapidly obvious: it's hungry. And it never seems to be satisfied. Wherever it goes, a thick mist seems to follow it, making all cameras in the area useless. It's also enormous, silent as a cat on the prowl and able to phase through solid matter to pursue prey. It wants meat, and any meat will do.
We'll be setting up a log for interactions with the monster, so stay tuned. You have until the 28th to figure out how to defeat it. Keep in mind that respawn is still on during the duration of the event, and character death is always possibility. On the 15th, Hypatia will make an IC announcement signaling the start of the event.
