Event Update!

So! Unless anyone has any objections, the Phase 4444 event will be set to end on Friday, Nov 26th. All network posts concerning active holograms should stop on Saturday, but feel free to continue to post backdated logs.

As of this post, the wilderness area that resembles Reach has started to, well, actually resemble Reach, as in dark stormy skies, plumes of smoke in the distance, and the distinct sound of artillery just out of view. There are no holographic enemies as of now, but that'll be changing soon enough.

...also Omega is going to be kidnapping Jun, with his mun's permission, so anyone who likes can feel free to chase the kidnapped princess through Covenant-infested forests and bunkers. Yes there will be running commentary.

Lastly, hurr durr I shouldn't watch Dead Space. Thanks to the threat of radiation from someone, Sacrosanct will be getting a visitor. Final part of the event will be up shortly!

Any questions, ask 'em here or get a hold of me.

I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, but it really feels like this event is going on far too long, especially for people who didn't want to participate. This is two days off from a month we're talking here. Also the fact that we're starting to distort the RP/the event just for the Halo cast's needs is becoming a little irksome, because it feels like the mods are playing favorites. I don't have a problem with Reach being here, but....yeah.

Anyway, I'll shut up now. Feel free to delete/hide/whatever this, I just wanted to make my concerns known and shiz.

Actually, I wanted to say that I agree with this :\ Two weeks is my maximum for an event, and it's felt for a while like I can't get any other plotting done while this event is going on. For instance, I had some things I wanted to try with SHODAN, but I can't do anything with her until this event is over because of what I want her to do. I'm probably not the only person in this boat.

And I feel like some of the time shenanigans are getting a little ridiculous (the pyramid head thing took HOW long to resolve? And it was originally gonna happen WHEN?)

I know we're all busy (I mean, I'm in grad school for god's sake) but this is getting silly.

I also agree about the Halo thing. It feels like Halo cast is getting a red carpet rolled out for them, and while I'm not going HAY I WANT A RED CARPET TOO!!11!!1111! I do feel a little like... idk. Left out? Like I've just been shoved aside so Halo Cast can have all the shiny funtimes?

Idk :\

TL;DR: IAWTC

I'm more referring to the fact that the Halo cast's mini-events seem to be approved instantly while other people have to wait a while for things to go through. (Terminator vs Pyramid Head, my request still in limbo, Shep's Ryncol log waiting a week, whereas hugely game/event-affecting stuff like turning on the generators was implemented right away, etc) I do appreciate that it can be hard to run things though! And I'm sorry if I came off as bitchy or negative. Thank you for responding to my concerns.

The Terminator vs Pyramid Head thing was more of a player delay than any cause of the mods.

As for your request, I'm sorry you haven't gotten a response. It was approved sometime last week and I'm not sure why you didn't get a response. So, just so you know, it's a-ok, but I'll give you an official approval response in a sec.

As for the generators, that wasn't exactly an event request but rather players asking if they could affect the current event, thus the more prompt response.
