RIFT EVENT: DAYS 9-10
Oops dropped the ball again. Anyway, stage five started at midnight.
By now, all elements should be back to normal. Gold is gold, lead is lead, oxygen is oxygen and so on. Hope no one broke anything important!
With a stationwide creak and a general sense of something isn't right, things start to disappear. From March 28th to the 30th, things will vanish before your eyes. Your keys. Your house. Your arm. The station you live in. Your best friend. Nothing is safe. The disappearances will get worse as the days progress. Where things and people were, there will just be nothing. Emptiness. Void. You might even find yourself struggling to remember what's missing.
People who lose body parts or organs will notice that they're still able to function--there's no pain and no blood, and even if your heart goes missing you'll still be walking around; though you might feel incredibly weird. This is your best clue into what's really going on. The things that are missing aren't gone--they're just sort of...shifted.
Everything and everyone that disappears will find themselves in a sort of pocket dimension. This pocket dimension operates a lot on chaos and probability, so you could see anything there, from monsters to flying toasters to talking candy. You'll be perfectly safe, though; in fact, it might even be a little boring, since you won't have much to do aside from watch all the weird stuff floating by around you. Characters in this pocket dimension are free to log with each other while trapped there as well.
All of this will end on the 30th. Everything that disappeared will be returned, and the whole station will go back to normal. The rift will go back to it's usual self and the junkyard will again be accessible. Also, Jin and Kimiko will return from their stay inside the rift.
They gonna have some 'splainin to do.
This is the last stage of the event! Have fun!

And related to the above: can things disappear for some people but not others?

As for the second part, not really. This part of the event is more about actual physical reality than perception. So if two people are looking at a tree and the tree disappears, the tree is gone in an objective sense. Hmmm...though actually, in terms of things like flickering in and out of existence? In that case, one person might see the tree disappear and the other might not.
Once the tree is completely gone then it's gone for everyone, though.
LMFAO that was way over-complicated, sorry. TL;DR yes but only at the time when the thing is flickering in and out of existence, after that the thing is gone-gone.
