Hi, gang!! Alma here with character number two and about as different from Harley Quinn as can be!

This is Zhaneel the gryphon from the Mercedes Lackey Heralds of Valdemar book series. She's an emotionally abused and unstable girl with latent magical abilities that are listed in her application (including but not limited to mindspeech and magical immunity). She's coming in from early in The Black Gryphon, before she's come to know that people can be nice.

She also just tried to kill herself in a feat of aerial insanity that failed miserably and not only left her alive, but having successfully taken out three enemy ma'kaar (Mage warped gryphon things). She's a sweet girl, but has zero self worth and has been raised her whole life considering herself an utter waste of space and malformed cull. She was raised by a military Wing after being told that her parents died trying to escape thier shame of her.

And I'll be introing her possibly right into the middle of the Phazon mess, because I'm mean that way! :D

I loved those books! Though it's been so long since I read them I don't remember anything about them. Except that gryphons are pretty maybe?
