READY, SET, TRY NOT TO EXPLODE
Figured I ought to throw up a plotting post for the upcoming race. The original post/invitation thing is here. All the mechanics and folks who like to race are welcome. One of the rules is that the mechanics can't pilot their own rigs, so there should be some free slots for characters that aren't mechanically inclined.
The race is set for the 18th and backdating is always welcome. I reckon there will be a nice thread taking place in a bar with some sweet hologram tv action going if people want to turn this into a sporting event with bets. GAMBLING? ON MY STATION? It's more likely than you think.
The zone this will take place in is Garden Zone 11, which is described as "Mountainous zone, cliffs and caves. Memorable box canyons!" so the machines should have some serious offroading capabilities. The course will be marked with... I dunno. Lights or hologram arrows or little flags if we're getting old school.
Here's the thing. Virgil is going to cheat. It won't be TECHNICALLY cheating, because he's following the rules set up-- ie, not piloting his own rig which he made entirely from junkyard scraps-- but he'll be loading the course with remote control booby traps and he'll have a nice EMP canon that can temporarily disable engines and the like. What an asshole.
I'm open to suggestions for how to make this event fun and exciting, so feel free to comment here if you have any input! All the plotting, guys. All of it.

Pretty much, I think many of us agreed that we want all the FUCKING HORRID DRIVERS to be in on the piloting. Alejandro is canonly a terrible pilot. But he would never volunteer himself to drive. Any engineer want to volunteer him?
