New Guy!
Hi everyone! My name's Kris. You may know me elsewhere as that other fair-haired boy of science fiction visual media, James T. Kirk (Shatner-flavored), but I'm here to be contrary and prove you can like both.
I'm new to the game, and new to Luke, so any hand-holding is appreciated. Especially since I counted once and realized I know 6% of the characters here. Luke's application is here if you want to know where I'm coming from and I should say that:
1) I'm bringing him from the end of Empire Strikes Back, so he knows Vader's his daddy and doesn't know Leia's his sis; and,
2) I'm really only going by original trilogy canon. I know there's a lot of EU stuff and I'm sure it's awesome. I'm sorry if playing without it is a no-no, but I grew up on the trilogy and it's what I'm interested in. I'm totally open to hearing about stuff you think is interesting or relevant that I get wrong, but I do want to warn that whatever headcanon I come up with may or may not jive with other media.
Anyway! I'm super excited to play with you all and I'll intro this guy as soon as I figure out what the heck is going on. My aim is originalfine but I'm usually only on if someone pokes me and tells me to be; it's easier to reach me by PM or, ideally I guess, plurk. I'm really laid back when it comes to RP, so please let me know if I can answer any questions or help out or want to plot. I'm pretty equal-opportunity as far as serious and crack go, so I should be able to find my niche.

ETA: I was asked about 4th-walling/canon puncture. I'm totally okay with this--I have no idea how he'll react but I always prefer to roll with the punches and I adore meta, so sure. If your character would recognize Luke, you're free to acknowledge such!

Hey, I'm Siri, and I play Sam Flynn from Tron: Legacy, Gibson from Tron: Evolution, and Stephen Hart from Primeval! Two of them will recognize him, but Sam's not around right now (yay hiatus?) and Stephen's polite enough not to say anything because he's not Connor, so I don't think you have any fourth-walling to worry about from me--but oh my god I'm so excited to see him here you don't even know. (Meanwhile, Gibson is a computer program and what is fiction.)

And dude, I don't think there's gonna be much issue with you just playing from the original trilogy. The EU is pretty much insane--even the Zahn books. |D

Sam: Billionaire slacker daredevil who should technically be running his world's version of Microsoft, but isn't. He went on adventures to find his dad (who's basically Obi-Wan Lebowski with extra omnipotence) inside a computer and ended up almost getting himself killed a couple of times.
Gibson: Perpetually shirtless engineer and part-time politician. Made of snark. He's also a computer program, which means there are massive gaps in his real-world knowledge base, and he's about three years old in our time. xD
Stephen: Hypercompetent Sidekick inasmuch as anyone on Primeval is competent, which isn't very to a Scottish paleobiology professor. He kinda tracks dinosaurs for a living now, since there are holes in the space-time continuum which let prehistoric nasties out into 2007-era London, and he's pretty handy with an assault rifle for a civilian. Hard to ruffle. Terrible taste in clothes.
Anyway, I'll probably try to toss someone at Luke eventually, because I can't resist. <3 I look forward to threading with you, and I hope you have fun here!
