Hello! My name is Tsia, yet another rookie, and I'm bringing in Babydoll from the movie Sucker Punch, with an AU twist.
Babydoll is a young woman from the 1950s. She was committed to a mental hospital for an accidental crime, and under the abusive conditions found solace in her imagination, mentally recreating herself as a warrior fighting against evil armies. Although the real Babydoll has never been more than a quiet and tragic civilian girl, upon her arrival in Sacrosanct she was given a little "gift" by the station AI: an exterior to match her mind's interior.
Those fantasies of a powerful warrior have been made reality for her as she has had her weak human body retooled into a combat cyborg, a combination of flesh and steel that will support her mental self-image. Like any anime cliche about a super powered schoolgirl, there is no visible difference between her body and an ordinary girl's (aside from her obligatory costume change), until she is thrown through a brick wall by an opponent and gets back up.
However, Babydoll's new body operates under a strict set of rules. Since her fantasies occurred under a hypnotic state triggered by music, her "powers" will also be subject to this same trigger. Unless she is listening to music and able to fall into the hypnotic trance, Babydoll will be nothing more than a civilian girl with a civilian's abilities and pain threshold. Once triggered, however, her outfit will change from a shapeless gray shift to her fantasy outfit, she will have access to her weapons, and she'll be able to fight effectively. In other words, your typical magical girl transformation. True to cliche, Babydoll hasn't the faintest idea how her "powers" work or why, and she'll fumble through adjusting to them.
