I think what we can take away from this is that I have an obsessive need to find out all of the things about my characters in-canon. (Like. I was totally about to make up a background for Gibson--and then I found out that he had a Tron File. And that it said he was a politician and engineer. And then I just stared at my computer screen in utter shock and kinda went... welp. Okay, canon, you make no sense, but you are canon. LET'S ROLL WITH IT. And then I made up all of the headcanon about Bostrum that would let Gibson actually get elected that I should probably write down somewhere eventually and here we are and oh good god I've completely lost control of this story help me.)
