PAINTBALL/LASER WAR:
Alright so, we have a ton of bored military people around. And bored engineers around. SO. Let us combine this into something beautiful. Here are my ideas (input/notes/changes to the master plan are totally welcome.) Most of this shit is based off of the Team Fortress 2 combat system because this plan is going into play via Pyro and this is what he knows and loves. Lemme know if ya'll're interested.
BUILDAN STAGE:
In order for this to work out we need a few different tech savvy kinds of people. We need people to design/build. This should be a collaborative effort kind of thing, which'll give us an oppurtunity to mash different characters together. TECH ORGY LOG?? CR ALL UP IN THIS BITCH.
NEEDS:
Different kinds of paintball guns: Sniper rifles, automatic machine guns, shotguns, paint-ball flamethrower etc. (WHAT DO YOU THINK OF MELEE WEAPONS?)
Armor: consisting of pressure sensitive suits and helmets. All the data collected by the suits should be capable of being wirelessly uploaded to a giant screen so the spectators can track their players haha.
The arena, too should be rigged with cameras and stuff. Possibibly bunkers/terrain? Also, “dispensers” that can refill CO2, are stocked with extra ammo, and will reduce the damage count on the player (healing beams huuur.)
PLAYAN STAGE:
Each character will be allotted a certain amount of health, which will be displayed in the visor of their helmets. The armor is all pressure sensitive and the health goes down the more the player is hit. Once their health goes down to zero, their gun is disabled and they have to trek back to their homebase/respawn point to remove all the damage points and re-activate their weapon. Scores are kept via kill/death count. Cameras are everywhere so that spectators can watch all the action, track their fave players. I will be disappoint if people don't start gambling rings around the games ahaha.
