Body swap event, guys.



- Details: Basically, those pesky teleportation devices are going to fuck up, like they so often do, and when your character steps out, they may be in a body they’re not familiar with—in fact, it’ll be a body of someone else undergoing the same situation. Each character that signs up for the event will be swapped physically with another character signed up for the event. It is literally taking one brain and switching it with another— so thoughts, feelings, secrets etc won’t be switched, but things like super powers will be (strength, speed, psychic powers, etc). If you have further questions, I’ll provide a question thread so you can ask me shit.


- Dates: You have until the 22nd to sign up. After the 22nd , I’ll randomly match up each character with another (don’t worry, I’ll make sure a mun doesn’t get two of their own characters) and on the 23rd I’ll post the results and have a plotting post where you can discuss what’s going to happen. The event begins on the 25th and will last until the 1st of July. After the 1st, when your character uses a teleporter, they’ll return to their own bodies.

2) Describe your character: Kanaya is a troll, except she is also a rainbow drinker, which is basically a troll vampire. Her skin is white and it glows depending how much sun she's gotten (because canon never explains why she sometimes doesn't glow so I am guessing). She is constantly craving blood. Human blood will make her sick, troll blood provides nutrients based on caste level, with Karkat being the exception to the rule because mutant, so his blood is like an energy drink. A good one. Not Monster. Like Bawls or All City or something.

She can't hold down solid food, but liquids are a-okay. All taste is dulled, with the exception of blood. She doesn't need to breathe except to talk and do other stuff that requires air in her lungs. Her body is the temp of sun-warmed pavement at any given moment. She's also got a hole in her stomach about the size of a softball. It doesn't bleed or anything since it's healed over, but you can stick your hand right through it.

2) Describe your character: A GIANT ROBOT. Nemesis - Convoy Super Black - is a bit different from most Cybertronians though. You're made of metal and drink energon and can shoot things, but you're also made of a ~special~ metal called Alternium.

Mostly that does nothing. On the other hand, your doorwings bring you information about the very nature of the spacetime on the station - including the Rift, so unless you shut off those sensors, you may find yourself quickly overwhelmed. (Or get used to them quickly.) There's also the fact that your guns can shoot through time, and that you can actually create a time-loop once a day.

There may or may not also be a lingering ache in your chest, where that shiny new spark of yours - aka the physical manifestation of your soul - is. Wonder what's up with that?

While for the most part you're...essentially...a little girl android (with strength enough and a broom enough to Break Things), pay note to some of the programming - specifically the ones noting how you can't hurt a human, and should generally follow all commands given by them. They're so subtle you may not even know they're there...

Disproportionally strong, ridiculously fast, and has significantly greater innate magical abilities than a normal human, provided you know how to cast any spells. Greatly heightened sense of hearing, slightly heightened sense of smell and sight, significantly dampened sense of touch and taste. Looks fantastic in drag. Sinks like a rock if tossed overboard.

1) Character name and journal: Commander Jane Shepard, cmdr_renegade
2) Describe your character: Shepard is a badass female space marine with fun, glowing orange cybernetics under her skin. She has red hair, a myriad of fun and nondescript battle-scars, and also a biotic-amp (read as telekinesis battery pack) in the back of her skull.

Shepard is super durable. Funny story, she was spaced once and after explosive decompression was put back together with heavy weave bones and muscles, and laced all up and down with cybernetics. She can drink like a filtration unit, take recoil usually reserved for tanks, and punch through most things. She's a vanguard and specializes in releasing the energy from her skull-battery and plowing into/through things with the force of a freight train.

Side effects of this body, (optional, but encouraged for lulzy results):
► Shepard kills fish in mysterious ways. All fish she owns die. Abruptly. The very moment she stops looking directly at them.
► Shepard is completely incapable of driving without crashing into everything ever.
► As biotic (space-battery telekinetic), Shepard eats a ridiculous amount of food. So much food.

2) Describe your character: Joker is a tall, lanky, paper-white lunatic with permanent clown lipstick and green hair. Tacky suit optional.

Joker laughs compulsively, it's mostly his insanity but the freaky state of his body encourages it. Speaking of freaky state, he got looking this way by falling into a vat of comic-book-chemicals. Good news is, this makes him immune to virtually everything short of bullets. Unfortunately he did not gain much of that silly super-strength business, but at least his face didn't melt!

Side effects of this body (totally optional, but encouraged for lulz):
► Desire to consume horrifying amounts of super sugary foodstuffs.
► Puns. All the puns.
► Compulsive need to find bat related things and then destroy them in convoluted ways.

2) Describe your character: Congratulations, you are now in the body of a scrawny pubescent immortal blue-blooded psychic fairy alien girl. HAVE FUN WITH THAT.
When I say "immortal," it's kind of a weird case: you can be killed in Vriska's body, but as long as your death was neither heroic nor just (yes this is intentionally woolly) the corpse will be revived in a burst of multicoloured light after half an hour or so. Anyone ~fortunate~ enough to get Vriska's body has advance permission to abuse this as much as they want, should they so wish. Wounds disappear on revival. She'll never know. 8|b
Other stuff: Most of her psychic stuff is irrelevant because it generally only works on lowblooded trolls and we don't have many of those (HI KARKAT). She can put humans to sleep and/or wake them up, though. The recipient of her body will likely experience an increase in temper, a dislike for very bright light, a compulsion to make piles of things and an alarming tendency to shed glittery sparkledust everywhere when flying.

2) Describe your character: Damian is a ten-year-old human boy (caucasian/asian mix, ish) whose body is in exquisite condition because of training for his entire lifetime... and maybe not quite top shape. He tends to run on less sleep than he needs, and pushing himself harder, ignoring pain of various shapes. Bruises, scrapes, fatigue. There are scars on his body, especially along his back (his spine was replaced with a bionic one. Which shouldn't be causing trouble unless there's a necessity for energon transfusion.)

2) Describe your character: Sean is an eighteen-year-old redhead guy. He is also a mutant, but that is not very obvious until screaming happens. Then he can blast through a wall. Or fly. (This last one requires some control. Or a lot of control.) He's in reasonable shape and the teenage hormones are mostly in reasonable check, so he shouldn't be too problematic a body to handle.

2) Describe your character: (from application because I can't brain) Michiko is a fairly tall (5'8" - 5'10") dark-skinned Brazilian woman with long black hair and an olive skin tone. As far as abilities go, she has no powers, but she's able to endure a lot of pain. Basically, no matter how hard she gets hit, unless she is directly smacked down to the ground she will not fall over. She's a plucker, alright.

It's also important to note that there's a fucking big-ass and slightly obnoxious tattoo of L.B.D.D on her stomach, presumably a moniker or acronym for her gang. Girl gotta represent.
