Supernatural or extrasensory perceptions would probably be able to see through the holograms, unless you don't want them to, since it'll be a Super Advanced Network Of Energy or whatever. Whether he can see through the holograms or can't or can Sense The Difference isn't going to make much of a difference when they start solidifying/turning into jillion watt electric fences, so it's completely up to you!

...and to keep him from running headlong into things he can't see at all, if that's what you'd prefer, the HUD on his network device will be able to map the new obstacles and detect energy fields.
