oh durr okay Jin will be taking soil samples, scanning for lifeforms, investigating magmaworms, running tests on the atmosphere and seeing if he can remote access his rift scanner from Asphodel. He'll also be looking for any noticeable effects the rift has had on the planet proper. Mostly he'll be hanging out in magmaworm tunnels, but it'd be awesome if he could run into insurgents or something :3
