While this is a well-written application, due to the stipulations of your Alternate Universe, we feel that Maes Hughes would be taken too far away from his original characterisation within the series with the traits you have applied to him. Homonculi do not retain the traits of the people from whom they're created, and there is little support in canon for believing that Hughes would be recognizable as himself after transmutation.
