Honey, if I didn't thread with characters I don't know, I'd be s.o.l. in all of RP-dom. I have no problem at all not knowing what's going on (though I do admit I am intimidated when I don't know *anything* and *anyone* and therefore don't have a background in what I'm looking at but like I said, it doesn't actually matter). I am always open for molestation!
